Legal Basis

Use of Recruitment Tool
Berlin Packaging uses an external recruitment tool as part of the recruitment process. When using this tool, personal data is processed on behalf of Berlin Packaging and in accordance with Berlin Packaging’s documented instructions.
Berlin Packaging has entered into a Data Processing Agreement with the provider of the recruitment tool to ensure that your personal data is processed securely and in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
Personal Data We Collect
We may collect and process the following categories of personal data:
identification data, such as first name, last name, and photograph;
contact details, such as email address, phone number, and address;
application data, such as CV, cover letter, education, qualifications, work experience, skills, and similar information;
information collected through communication during the selection process;
assessment, interview, and evaluation data, where applicable;
technical data and cookies, where you have consented to their use or where such processing is otherwise permitted by law.
Purpose of Processing
Your personal data is processed for the purpose of managing the recruitment process, including:
receiving and reviewing applications;
evaluating candidates and verifying qualifications;
communicating with you during the selection process;
conducting interviews, tests, and assessments;
making recruitment and hiring decisions;
complying with legal obligations;
considering you for similar positions, where permitted by law or where you have given consent.
Data Retention Period
Your personal data will be retained for the duration of the selection process and for a maximum of 6 months after the end of the recruitment process for the relevant vacancy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
Where you have given consent for your data to be retained for future employment opportunities, your personal data may be retained for a longer period in accordance with the consent provided. You may withdraw your consent at any time.

In accordance with applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:
request access to your personal data;
request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
request deletion of your personal data;
request restriction of processing;
object to the processing of your personal data;
request data portability, where applicable;
withdraw your consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
After applying for a job, you will be provided with access to the candidate portal, through which you may exercise your rights. The link to the portal will be provided in the confirmation email after your application has been submitted.

Access to your personal data is limited to authorized employees and representatives of Berlin Packaging who are involved in the recruitment process. Your personal data is stored within the European Union and protected by appropriate technical and organizational security measures.
Automated Processing with AI Support
We may use artificial intelligence and other tools to help organize applications and identify candidates who may match the requirements of the position. This may include automated filtering or ranking of applications based on predefined criteria.
However, no hiring decision is made solely by automated means. All decisions regarding interviews, selection, and job offers are made by recruiters or other authorized personnel.
